This day of CPD will cover the following workshops and practical sessions:

• Assessment and Adapting PE (workshop)
• Target Games into Game Sense (practical)
• Striking & Fielding and Net/Wall (practical)

This day of CPD is FREE for all schools in the Christchurch and The Isle of Purbeck Partnership and £95 for schools outside the partnership.

Event Overview

Workshop 1: EYFS/KS1 Practical PE (9.30am-12.15pm)

This workshop will:

• Take you through sequences of learning focused on EFYS and KS1, covering multiple contexts of learning, from locomotion to balls skills, team building and athletics.
• Share lots of ideas, games and activities that are suitable for all EYFS and KS1 children.
• Unpick ways to adapt and differentiate activities, as well as a focus on how high-quality PE can challenge and develop the whole child.

Workshop 2: Adaptive Physical Education (1pm-3.30pm)

This workshop will:

• Delve deep into unpicking what Adaptive Physical Education means and how it can be embedded into your practice.
•  Look at a Physical Literacy approach and see how inclusive and adaptive PE can support all children and young people, regardless of background or ability, to develop a positive relationship with movement and physical activity throughout their lives.
• Explore the normalisation or different adaptive PE methods and spend time keying in on the 4 areas of SEND inspired by the areas outlined in the SEN Code of Practice: Physical, Cognition and Learning, Sensory and Social and Emotional.

*Unlimited places on offer to Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games full member schools. All other Suffolk Primary schools will be charged £30 per workshop which is payable before the training date.
