Last week, we had the privilege of once again supporting the Youth Sport Trust Conference 2026, held at the Telford International Centre.

We’re incredibly proud to support the work of the Youth Sport Trust, a charity dedicated to finding new and meaningful ways to use sport and play to improve children’s wellbeing and help create brighter futures for young people.

Seeing the impact of their work first-hand is always inspiring. The conference brought together passionate educators, leaders and organisations from across the sector, all united by a shared commitment to putting play, sport and physical activity at the heart of young people’s development. It was fantastic to see so many people sharing ideas, learning from one another and celebrating the positive difference being made in schools and communities.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of what can happen when organisations collaborate with a common purpose. When schools, charities and partners come together, the impact on young people can be truly transformational.

A huge well done to everyone involved in making this year’s conference such a success, and thank you to the Youth Sport Trust for continuing to lead such important work for children and young people across the UK.

Complete PE is excited to announce a new collaboration with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) to develop innovative T1 Rugby sequenced lesson plans for KS2.

Our partnership is built on a shared goal: to empower teachers with engaging, practical resources that make teaching games-based learning through T1 Rugby both simple and rewarding.

T1 Rugby is a non-contact version of the sport that emphasises fun, fitness, and inclusion. It incorporates many of the core elements of rugby, such as lineouts, scrums, kicking, and breakdowns, while remaining simple to play. T1 Rugby ensures that all children, regardless of their ability or background, can enjoy the game in a safe and welcoming environment.

The RFU, the national governing body for Rugby in England, works to enrich lives, expand participation, and develop the sport for future generations. Through this collaboration with Complete PE, the RFU aims to support teachers by providing high-quality, engaging resources suitable for both newcomers and those with prior experience in rugby.

Chris Sigsworth from the RFU said: “Rugby has something for everyone, whether as a teacher, player, or official. We’re delighted to be working with Complete PE to empower schools with easy-to-use resources that bring the game of T1 Rugby to life.””

This exciting new partnership reflects a shared commitment to making rugby accessible, enjoyable, and inclusive for all children, helping them to foster a lifelong love of the sport from the very start of their educational journey.

The DfE have provided schools with updated guidance to help them make effective use of their PE and Sport Premium funding.

The Youth Sport Trust (YST), in partnership with the Association for Physical Education (afPE), have developed two practical resources to support schools with their reporting. Both documents are available on their respective websites and include:

PE and Sport Premium Monitoring and Tracking Form – this is a working document to help you plan, monitor, and evidence your use of funding throughout the year.

PE and Sport Premium Spending Tracker – this is a simple Excel tool that enables you to record spending in real time, with totals calculated automatically.

To provide additional support, we’ve also created an example Monitoring and Tracking Form containing sample (fictitious) data and actions to guide schools in completing the document.

This example along with a blank version of the document can be accessed within the Subject Support Area (Curriculum Support) on Complete PE.

Please remember that schools must publish a PE and Sport Premium report on their website by 31 July each year.

We are proud to announce that we have been recognised by afPE (association for Physical Education) as an approved Curriculum Resource.

As a trusted curriculum resource we have demonstrated that Complete PE ensures that schools have the necessary quality teaching resources to deliver a effective and inclusive Physical Education curriculum.

What is an approved curriculum resource?

An afPE Approved Curriculum Resource (ACR) is a recognised mark of quality for Physical Education materials.

Through a rigorous approval process, afPE ensures that PE teaching and learning resources are evidence-informed, inclusive, and aligned with national guidance and best practice.

By accrediting high-quality resources, afPE empowers schools to deliver Physical Education that is meaningful, impactful, and enriching for all pupils.

Our aim at Complete PE is to create the best resources for teachers, supporting them to deliver high-quality PE lessons.

We will be sharing more information about this incredible news with you soon.

It has been confirmed that PE and Sport Premium funding will be continuing next academic year (25-26).

This ongoing investment supports primary schools in providing high-quality Physical Education, promoting active lifestyles, and offering a wide range of opportunities for all pupils.

With this continued funding, schools can further develop an inclusive, engaging PE provision that helps all children build physical skills, confidence, and lifelong healthy habits.

We were once again proud to be a supporting sponsor of Youth Sport Trust Conference.

As a Changemaker business we are extremely proud to support the charity on their mission to inspire young people to use the power of PE and play sport to build better and brighter futures for themselves.

Commercial Director, David Rock, had the privilege of presenting Ben Levinson with the ‘Campbell Award’ at the Conference Awards dinner. The awards dinner celebrates schools, settings, trusts and individuals who have worked to make a real, impactful change to the lives of young people. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners.

Our Director of PE, Catherine Fitzpatrick hosted a breakfast workshop with PE Scholar which explained more about how we have worked with Oak National Academy to create a sequenced, coherent and diverse PE curriculum. Catherine explained how the Oak curriculum is an ideal starting point for schools who have nothing in place or are looking for resources to supplement their existing curriculum.

The exhibition provided us with a fantastic opportunity to network with schools, NGBs and businesses that share our mission of equipping teachers with the knowledge and tools to confidently enjoy delivering high quality Physical Education.

In the demo zone we brought to life some of the activities from our Triathlon and Golf units. By having the opportunity to demonstrate these games, it just meant that we could remind schools of the opportunities available to them if they wanted more of their children to learn about the wonderful game of golf or experience swim, bike, run activities.

Overall, we had a thoroughly productive and enjoyable two days. Thank you everyone in our team and our partners for making the day a success.

We recently had the privilege of attending the Boccia National Championships in Crawley. It was great to have the opportunity to watch so many inspirational athletes play this inclusive sport.

By working with Boccia England our aim is to encourage more children and young people to take part in this truly inclusive sport.

This exciting new collaboration begins with us adding a selection of Boccia England’s renowned ‘Play Boccia’ resources onto Complete PE. Boccia are dedicated to improving the physical and emotional well-being of children and adults with disabilities through Boccia and this is a mission that we want to support.

It is our intention to work with Boccia England to provide more support, training and resources for teachers, so that pupils can access the fastest growing and most accessible parasport within school.

We are excited to be collaborating with Boccia England.

Since implementing Complete PE, 96% of schools say that there has been a positive impact on Physical Education across their school.

Last term, we asked our member schools to complete a short survey to provide us with their feedback so that we can continue to develop and improve Complete PE.

Below is some of the key data obtained from our survey (June 2024).

Thank you to all the schools who completed the survey.
