Event Overview

We’re excited to be attending the FOBISIA PE and Sport Conference.

This conference aims to bring all PE and sport colleagues together from across the region to share best practice, common challenges and continuous improvement in a positive spirit of collaboration.

Over the 3 days we have been invited to deliver a series of practical and theory workshops, designed to support teachers to deliver High Quality PE.

The workshops we will be delivering include:

  • What Makes High Quality PE
  • All about OAA: A practical workshop exploring OAA in primary schools
  • Celebrating and Assessing the Whole Child

Our team will be available throughout the conference, to showcase Complete PE to any FOBISIA member school interested in implementing our resource. We will also be able to provide any additional support to existing member schools too.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the conference.

Event Overview

Workshop 2 builds on the content from our New to Leading PE workshop back in November.

This particular workshop will explore the tools used to support the development of staff in school along with the knowledge and understanding of how PE, PA and School Sport can be used to drive Whole School Improvement.

The workshop content includes:

  • Identifying the key features of a High Quality PE lesson, observing teaching through the use of video clips.
  • Examine ways to effectively apply formative assessment of the whole child in PE lessons.
  • Understand the impact Physical Activity can have on Whole School Improvement
  • Inline with the new Ofsted framework, use PE as a tool to challenge the personal development of all pupils.

To attend this workshop Subject Leaders need to book onto the Hertfordshire PE Conference as this is part of the programme.

*Workshop 3 will take place during the summer term.

We’re attending the Hertfordshire PE Conference on Friday 14th January.

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Sustaining Quality Through Challenge’

The conference features a programme of keynote addresses and interactive workshops and we are please to have been invited to several of the workshops.

The workshops we will be delivering are: What Makes High Quality PE, Engaging Reluctant Dancers and Assessment in PE – hopefully we will see you on one of these workshops!

These two workshops will cover sequences of learning and a clear progression of skills to support the delivery of high quality Gymnastics and OAA lessons.

These two workshops will:

  • Supporting the delivery of High-Quality Physical Education through sequences of learning.
  • Unpick what makes a High Quality Gymnastics and OAA lesson.
  • Bring to life ways of encouraging mastery learning through physical, cognitive, social and emotional learning.
  • Discuss ways to differentiate and adapt tasks to meet the needs of all pupils.

These workshops are FREE for all Complete PE member schools and schools in the Cramlington and Ashington & Coquet School Sports Partnerships.
