Event Overview

This workshop will unpick the key features of a High Quality Physical Education lesson, including observing video footage from lessons and taking part in practical ideas to bring the key concepts to life.

The workshop content includes:

• Examine the five key areas of focus that make up a high quality primary Physical Education provision.
• Understand impact and how we can use this information to shape our intent and support our implementation.
• Unpick what makes High Quality Physical Education.
• Understanding how high quality Physical Education can challenge the personal development of the whole child.
• An opportunity to reflect on the Physical Education provision in your own setting.

This workshop is FREE for all schools in the Hunts School Sports Partnership.

These two workshops will support staff to teach high quality gymnastics lessons.

EYFS/KS1 Gymnastics Workshop: 9.00am -11.30am

KS2 Gymnastics Workshop: 1.30pm – 3.30pm

During the two workshops teachers will:

• Take part in practical sequences of learning.
• See how apparatus can be used to support learning.
• Discuss ways to differentiate and adapt tasks to meet the needs of all pupils.

These workshops are FREE for all primary school teachers in Hertfordshire.
