Practical gymnastics training for all primary school teachers.

During the workshop teachers will:

• Take part in practical sequences of learning from EYFS to year 6.
• See how apparatus can be used to support learning.
• Discuss ways to differentiate and adapt tasks to meet the needs of all pupils.

The workshop will unpick the key features of a High Quality Physical Education lesson, including observing video footage from lessons and taking part in practical ideas to bring the key concepts to life.

The workshop content includes:

• Identifying the key features of a high quality Physical Education lesson
• Understanding how High Quality Physical Education can challenge the personal development of the whole child
• An opportunity to reflect on the Physical Education provision in your own setting

This workshop will take the coaches at Derby County Community Trust through Ball Skills sequences of learning for EFYS and KS1 and Invasion sequences of learning for KS2.

The workshop will also unpick ways to adapt and differentiate games and activities, as well as a focus on how high quality PE can challenge and develop the whole child.
