About Twynham Primary School
Twynham is a small primary school in Christchurch, Dorset.
Twynham’s vision is to deliver a world class education in a safe, stimulating and innovative learning environment where high expectations ensure every pupil succeeds.
Twynham wanted to use a high quality PE resource to help up-skill our teachers and to help improve the overall quality of PE across the school.
Having explored other resources, we believed that that Complete PE contained the resources and support that would help us achieved our aims.
We have been using Complete PE since 2020 and all staff are confident in using the resource. The team at Complete PE have provided us with support whenever we have needed it.
Complete PE has helped me immensely in my role as PE Leader. I have used the resource to create our whole school PE curriculum and have been able to share this with staff. Staff can click on a unit of work on the Curriculum Map and this takes them straight to the lesson they are teaching, saving them valuable time.
The units of work are easy to follow and are progressive. Staff tell me that they now feel more confident teaching PE.
Complete PE is having a positive impact on PE at Twynham. Staff regularly tell me that they now feel more confident teaching PE and it is no longer a subject that they avoid teaching.
Children are also showing good progress in PE teachers see improvements in their physical abilities. The resource has been implemented across all Key Stages this means that all children now have structured and progressive PE lessons.
The general feedback from children has been positive too. Children enjoy their PE lessons and look forward to them each week.
Without doubt it’s probably the best investment we’ve made using our PE and School Sport Premium!
